We started monday with our next periode. So we will work futher on this project from now on.

I also had a question how far everyone is with the project? About the mail James sended with the 6 elements. It is quite strange but way is not Spain in the list? How are you all doing?
Here in the Netherlands we have been very busy, we just had a lot of deadlines for other projects and right now we just started our second week of exams. Hopefully after this week we will be more online and continue working on this project. :)

Choosing our elements..

Hello everybody!!

We will now star choosing the elements because no one else haven't. We have allready start doing the element one, so if it's okay to all of you we will do elements 1 and 2. Thank you:)
Forget those China and France, we will do that training programe conserning UK.

Group B (Netherlands) and group C (UK) please choose your own elements of the remaning four (3-6) and write those in here.

Can you all please tell times when it's okay to you meet in msn. Proper time for us would be monday 24.3.2008 18:00 UK time (even it's holiday) wednesday 26.3.2008 18:00 UK time.
If those times are not good for you, please tell us better time. We have to meet in msn in week 7!!!!

Meeting!

Hello everybody!

I am very happy with your responses and posts. Thank you very much!

This is our 5th week, as well. I was thinking of arranging an online meeting next week. I've been sick this week and couldn't go to uni - so I'm a bit behind with everything. I'll contact Pooja and ask her to interact more.

Please let me know what is a good day and time for you guys, so we can arrange the meeting. Also, we are going to have each other's MSNs, so even if we don't meet everybody every time, we can discuss small matters with other members and later write everything down here in the blog - so that everybody has access to it.

If anybody else wants to join the weblog (to post comments and information) please let me know their e-mail address and I'll send them the invitation.

Johanna, Tiina and Pia thank you very much for summarizing what has to be done. I just didn’t understand how we are going to write the project for two countries that are not represented in the group – as we don’t know anything about their culture. To be honest, I have no idea of how to develop this project. But I’ll take everything with me to discuss with our tutors on Tuesday.

I’ll improve my profile soon and ask Pooja to do the same. Ellen, I’ll invite your colleagues now.

How do I see the project?
17th of March is week 4 or 5 of the project. I don't know it for sure. I thought we need to make with your own group a training. And assignment 2 is for everyone personal in there project group. Please correct me if I am wrong.

How can we meet each other on MSN and when?
It is really difficult. Maybe we need to find a day and time that is for everyweek the same. To talk about the subject.

What we all have to do...

Hi, you have been very quiet in this week:)

So let's star this project now. We have tried to ask you how you wanna do this project. No one has answered yet, so here is our plan:

1. We ALL will do the  intercultural training program to the company together. We have thought that it would be great to take two countries/cultures which are not included our teams. For example France and China. Is that okay to you? The presentation will be made with PowerPoint. And it have to be ready in week 11.  Now it's week 5. 

2. In week 7 we have to leave our report from our working habits, (how we have done our project). Every team (Finland, UK and Netherlands) will do their own report (word). So write there your own notes and problems, as you see those in this project as far we are then. Also we have to do presentation of that in week 7 in video class. 

So shortly:

Presentation of group project in week 12 (Powerpoint) all together.  (we have to find out how we will do the presentation together on live)

Written report on group project in week 12 (Word) all together

Presentation of our working habits, problems etc. week 7. Each team by them selves.

First we have to find out the cultures/countries in the project. 

Then we have to decide who will do what and how.

AND MOST IMPORTANT: WE NEED TO FIND TIME TO MEET IN MSN OR SKYPE!

Our biggest problem now is the missing communication, and that is something what we have to improve right now. So because all team members are in the same school, We don't see a problem you to meet one day.

This text is totally chaos, and we hope you understand even a little bit of it:) If not, just ask, and we try to explain better:)

Hello,

Try to remember put your name every time you write here, so we all know who is writing. I suppose it was Suzanne who write here last. 

Roseli: Can you also make a profile in here, so we know something about you. Pooja is still missing from here, so if you see her, can you help her to log in here. 

Suzanne: I think your group member is already in here, so you don't have to invite her. (If your group member is Ellen de Vries) When it would be a good time to you to come msn?

In Finland we will be in msn tomorrow on that time. We hope that everybody can come then, but if not, it's not a problem.

Hi,

Johanna send you her msn address today, and now you have all our addresses. I suggest that we will meet in msn this week. How about  tomorrow from 19:00 to 21:00 english time (UTC)? 

We can discuss how we star this project, and what we all will do.

One thing we like to know: what week you think you are in now. For us it's week 5 I guess. 

I hope everyone will read this page before tomorrow, and send email if that time is not okay, and at the same time you will tell me times when you have time to meet. Give me few option so we can find the right one.

Getting started

Hello guys!

Welcome to our Virtual Project in InterCultural Communications!

I have created this blog for us to have a record of our progress during the development of the project.

To get the job started, how about writing the ground rules for the group? Everybody should participate, sending comments ans suggestions... I'll send mine:

- Meet the other group members at least once a week, via MSN, Skype, GTalk (or any other electronic tool) to discuss the project approach and progress.

Who would like to continue?
